Primark Launches Global Access 4.0

Primark Corp. has announced that it has unveiled Global Access 4.0, an integrated Internet-based business research product utilized by the professional investment and corporate research community. This new release offers alternative ways for business and financial users to look at information, based on their job function and research style.

Global Access 4.0 is now available in two formats, depending on users’ needs. The Reference View presents the available information classified by category with direct links to related content. This view is targeted to reference professionals and librarians. The Business View is intended for more general use and integrates information in a report format for easier interpretation and analysis, facilitating company lookup and cross-industry or cross-business comparisons. Peer Reports and Industry Reports are available through other views of the product.

“Within the past 2 years, the number of Global Access users has grown by more than tenfold,” said Steven Schneider, president of Primark’s Financial Information Division. “Our new release recognizes that as our user community has grown, their needs have become more diverse. This version of Global Access allows our clients to choose the look and feel of the product that best meets their requirements on a day-to-day basis.”

Global Access 4.0 offers added Primark-owned content and expanded search functionality to integrate multiple Primark data sets into one research tool. “The addition of Extel Cards and Extel News expands our coverage of U.K. and Asian markets and provides access to information on more than 18,000 companies. Coupled with Primark’s existing Worldscope database and extensive collection of international image documents, Global Access users have access to the most comprehensive collection of international company information available anywhere,” said Robert Lemmond, executive vice president of Primark’s Financial Information Division.

Global Access is Primark’s flagship business-to-business product. Currently licensed to over 550,000 users, the product is used to identify investment opportunities, perform competitive analysis, assess corporate finances, manage investment risk, track insider trading activity, and monitor corporate performance.
