Powerize.com: Helpful tool or overhyped solution?
by Ellen Miller

Discusses Powerize.com, a service that provides business information. Says that content is available from over 10,000 sources, and access to 2,400 of these titles is free to the user. Reports that the company recently eliminated its patented "minimum usage to maintain access" business model, which required users to perform 30 searches per month to maintain membership status. However, states that the current version of Powerize.com has problems with delivery, as several searches were performed and not only was the expected articles not delivered, but a request for help was not answered in a timely manner. Maintains that the bottom line is that there are serious reservations about deploying this service to unsuspecting searchers, as most non-professional searchers believe that the answer received from a search is the best - and only - information available.
