Chris Orr

Chris Orr, Information Services Manager at University of California specializes in digital asset management (DAM) and electronic archiving. Her experience spans the media-rich fields of journalism, publishing, commercial art and design as well as the document-rich field of law. She is skilled at metadata and taxonomy design, workflow analysis and database management. Over the years, she has moderated panels for SLA, Seybold and for the Henry Stewart DAM Symposia, as well as appeared as a DAM/visual assets specialist for all three. I've also been a reference librarian in academic and news libraries. Chris thrives in non-traditional library settings where my peers and I are often called "cybrarians," crafting digital media, databases, electronic systems, for corporate and non-profit organizations.
