Lori Reed, Learning & Development Coordinator, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Managing Editor ALALearning.org

Lori Reed is the learning & development coordinator for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library where she coordinates the training and development of more than 500 employees. With more than fifteen years experience in staff development and training, Lori is a frequent speaker at national library conferences and has been published in library journals. In 2009, Lori was named one of Library Journal's Movers & Shakers. Lori is the author of Lori Reed.com - Destination Learning and the managing editor of ALALearning.org. She also serves as the marketing and communication chair for ALA's Learning Round Table. Her passion is in learning and technology and making technology easy for people to understand. Lori is a North Carolina Master Trainer, certified Training Specialist by the North Carolina Office of State Personnel, and a Certified Synchronous Learning Expert.  She  lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her  husband Russ (who is also a library trainer), two children (ages 5 and 2), two cats one cat, and a fish.
