Barbara Ferry, Director, Library, National Geographic Society

Barbara Ferry is Director of the Library at National Geographic Society, overseeing the research collections and services, Records and Archives, and Indexing.  She has worked at National Geographic for 22 years; before that time she was a business librarian at the Washington Post and manager of research at Washington Information Group. She holds a Masters in Library Science from the University of Maryland, a Masters of Science in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelors Degree in History from Cornell University.
